Kraemer’s Then…
Kraemer's Garden came to McMinnville on January 1, 1968 just weeks before the marriage of Dave and Joanne Kraemer. The couple had purchased Theodore’s Market, a small fruit stand on the edge of town where bananas were 89¢ for 6lbs. As women began joining the workforce and families were canning less vegetables, Dave and Joanne switched gears and began to focus their attention on nursery stock.
In the early years of the business the Kraemer family lived on property growing not only high quality plants but growing their family as well. With four kids in tow, they had plenty of helping hands. In the early 80’s it was time for a change and the current building was constructed. Over time Kraemer’s Garden took on many specialties including floral, pets, and exotic birds.

Today their youngest son, Karl, continues the tradition with his wife and kids. Despite all the changes over the years, Kraemer’s continues to provide the Willamette Valley with the highest quality products possible. Stop in today to help cultivate community one garden at a time.
